🏃 May 2025 - Pittsburgh Half Marathon!
I completed my first half marathon in 2:20:49 at the 2025 Pittsburgh Marathon on May 4. It brought back memories of running 5.4 km on May 4 during my undergraduate years to celebrate Peking University's anniversary.

⚖️ April 2025 – Served as judge in Sigma Xi Competition at CMU
I served as a judge in the preliminary session on machine learning and the final session in the Sigma Xi Poster Competition 2025 at Carnegie Mellon University.

I curated a GitHub repository featuring Modeling papers, Datasets, Experimental papers, Code Repositories, and Benchmarks for Foundation Model for the Brain. Pull requests and contributions are welcome!

I presented recent work on Computational benefits of normalization in a circuit model at COSYNE (Computational and Systems Neuroscience) 2025 held in Montreal, Québec, Canada. e-Poster and brief overview is on Wolrd Wide Comp Neuro. Please also check our bioRxiv preprint.

My rotation project with Prof. Bard Ermentrout on Mean-field analysis of synaptic alterations underlying deficient cortical gamma oscillations in schizophrenia was published in Journal of Computational Neuroscience.

I was a panelist in the "Applying to Grad School & Finding a Research Direction" panel, which is part of the OurCS Workshop 2024 held by School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University.

I presented recent work on Neuronal heterogeneity of normalization in a circuit model in NAISys 2024 (From neuroscience to artificial intelligent systems) at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory.

I created a PyTorch tutorial on How task specification affects generalization in machine learning as part of the Neuromatch Academy 2024 NeuroAI course.
⚖️ February 2024 – Served as judge in PJAS
I served as a judge in the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science Regional Competition 2024. Mellon College of Science at Carnegie Mellon University reported on this.
💬 August 2023 – Lecturer in IYNA Summer Program
I gave two lectures, one on Neuroplasticity and the other on Frontiers of Neuroscience in International Youth Neuroscience Association (IYNA) Summer Program 2023.
📚 July 2023 – MCN Summer School and Aline D. Gross Scholarship
I attended the Methods in Computational Neuroscience Summer School 2023 held in Woods Hole, MA, USA. I was supported by the Aline D. Gross Scholarship from National Institute of Health for this program.
