Hi, my name is

Deying Song

I study the brain

I am a computational neuroscientist interested in the principles that govern computation, cognition, and Learning in the brain. Currently, I am a PhD candidate in Neuroscience Institute and Machine Learning Department at Carnegie Mellon University, where I build models that bridge circuit-level mechanisms with large-scale brain dynamics. I am supervised by Prof. Chengcheng Huang and Prof. Robert Kass.

Prior to that, I earned a B.S. in Integrated Scinece from Peking University in 2021, graduating as an Outstanding Graduate of Yuanpei College. I also obtained an M.S. in Machine Learning (research) from Carnegie Mellon University as part of my Ph.D. training.
